Reading Cooperative Bank was established in 1886, with a mission to make it possible for the average “workingman” to purchase a home. We’re proud to continue our tradition of helping all kinds of people and businesses realize their plans and dreams.

Our Bank Is Governed by You

Our bylaws define how our bank is run and ensure that our Board of Directors is elected by you, our customers. In 2014, employees and customers passed a bylaw amendment that protects the cooperative nature of our bank, making it harder for Reading Cooperative to go public.
