Reading Cooperative Welcomes Brendan Lauretti as Assistant Controller

 

Reading, MA – Reading Cooperative Bank (RCB) is pleased to announce the hiring of Brendan Lauretti as its new Assistant Controller. As Assistant Controller, Lauretti is responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, & periodic financial reports as well as assisting with the preparation of the Bank’s operating and capital budgets. 

Lauretti is well versed in financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting and liquidity modeling. He has worked in the banking industry for ten years, starting in the branches and eventually moving into accounting.

“We’re very excited that Brendan has joined RCB”, remarked VP, Controller Derric Souza. “He comes to us with great reporting and analysis experience that we hope to use here at the bank.”

Lauretti has obtained certifications from the Mass Bankers Association’s New England School for Financial Studies at Babson College and the Leadership Development Program at East Cambridge Savings Bank, where he also served as Assistant Controller.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to join Reading Cooperative and be a part of such a talented accounting team,” Lauretti said. “Some very exciting projects are in the works, and I cannot wait to jump in!”

Lauretti received a bachelor’s in finance from Framingham State University in 2017. He currently resides in Salem, NH with his fiancée and puppy.
