Who can use RCB’s check-cashing services?

Anyone may cash checks at RCB, subject to identification, verification, and applicable limits, with or without an account. Stop by a branch, and our team will help you cash your check and review any limits or fees in advance.

What types of identification are accepted?
A valid, non-expired ID is required to cash a check. We accept the following forms of identification:

  • Driver’s License
  • State-Issues ID Card
  • Passport
  • Permanent Resident Card
  • Military ID

What types of checks does RCB cash?
RCB can cash checks for the following:

  • Bank Checks
  • Government Checks
  • Insurance Checks
  • Non-Payroll Checks
  • Potal Money Orders

Are there any limitations to cashing checks?
RCB has the following check-cashing limits for non-customers:

  • Up to $5,000 per check
  • Up to $5,000 per day
  • Up to 3 checks per day

What fees does RCB charge for check cashing?
There is no charge to cash checks for RCB account holders.

For non-account holders, we keep our check-cashing fees competitive and straightforward. Here’s what to expect:

  • Bank Checks: 1.5%
  • Government Checks: 1.5%
  • Insurance Checks: 2%
  • Non-Payroll Checks: 5%
  • Payroll Checks (from a National Processor): 2%
  • Postal Money Orders: $5 flat fee

Do RCB customers have to pay a fee to cash or deposit checks?
Cashing or depositing checks is always free for RCB customers/account holders.

When will I get my money?
For in-person check cashing, you’ll receive your funds immediately during the transaction2. For customers making a deposit, the amount will be available in your account by the next business day.

  • Per Check = $5,000.00
  • Total Per Day = $5,000.00
  • Maximum Limit of Checks Per Day = 3

Check Fees:

  • Bank Checks = 1.5% of Check Amount*
    • $15/$1,000
  • Government Check = 1.5% of Check Amount*
  • Insurance Checks = 1.5% of Check Amount*
    • $20/$1,000
  • Non-Payroll Checks = 5% of Check Amount*
    • $50/$1,000
  • Payroll Checks (from a National Processor) = 2% of Check Amount*
  • Postal Money Orders = $5 Per Check
