READING - Reading Co-operative Bank Donates to Mission of Deeds to Support Buy-A-Bed Campaign
March 24, Reading, MA - Reading Co-operative Bank recently donated $1,000 to the Mission of Deeds to support their Buy-a-Bed campaign for 2014.
The Mission’s successful annual Buy-a-Bed Campaign raises funds to buy new mattresses for families that cannot afford them. Each mattress costs almost $100, and this past year the organization raised enough money to purchase over 380 beds. The Reading Co-operative Charitable Foundation is pleased to help the Mission of Deeds reach this outstanding number in 2014.
"The Buy-A-Bed Campaign is an amazing opportunity for Reading Co-operative Bank to give back to the community where our loyal clients live and to help the ones that need to start over. Every dollar invested in Mission of Deed’s cause is a dollar well spent," says Julie Thurlow, President and CEO of Reading Co-operative Bank.
The Mission of Deeds is a volunteer organization dedicated to helping homeless and needy families at a time when they need it most. The organization was founded in 1993 by Anthony Triglione to offer necessities like beds, tables, and chairs to these less fortunate families. The Mission of Deeds is always in need of volunteers and donated items. If you are able to donate, please visit www.missionofdeeds.org for more information.
