Stephanie Johnson Installed as Peabody Rotary Club President

Reading, MA – Reading Cooperative Bank’s Stephanie Johnson, Mortgage Loan Originator, has been elected to succeed Andy St. Pierre as Peabody Rotary Club President for 2018-2019. The Club Installation Dinner was held at the Black Box Theater to support the arts. Stephanie’s goal for the year is service, with each month providing members with projects to get involved with the community.

Stephanie’s first Rotary meeting was as a guest of the Haven for Hunger Director at the time. She knew immediately that the group would help give her the opportunity to do the most good in the areas she cared most about – charities and non-profit initiatives. Stephanie credits the many friendships that have come out of the Rotary for helping her fulfill her life calling of serving others.

“Every Thursday morning’s meeting brings me back to my center and fills my ‘soul bucket’”, says Stephanie. “The Rotary has taught me to be a leader; taught me to be strong; taught me that I can do anything I set my mind to.”

Stephanie’s peers spoke highly of her generosity and achievements as a Rotarian:

“Stephanie Johnson has proven to be the consummate Rotarian,” said Bob Wood, District 7930 Governor, 2018-2019. “Immediately upon her induction into the Club, even before, actually, Stephanie became the go to person to get things done, particularly for other people. She never aspired to be President, but when asked to serve, said yes without hesitation. In all the things Stephanie thinks, says or does, she lives by Rotary’s Four Way Test: 1. Is it the truth? 2. Is it fair to all concerned? 3. Will it build good will and better friendships. And 4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned? She embodies Rotary’s motto, ‘Service above Self’. Stephanie will be an awesome President of the Rotary Club of Peabody.”

“It is no surprise that Stephanie has taken on the role as Rotary Club President within the few short years of becoming a member of the Peabody Rotary Club,” said Cathy Gravel, Executive Vice President at GRAVOC. “Stephanie is always the first to volunteer or come up with ways to help those in need. She leads by example of the Rotary motto – Service above Self. I am looking forward to her year as Rotary President.”
