RCB’s Todd Bettinson Wins Burlington Rotary Club’s Rookie of the Year

Reading, MA – Reading Cooperative Bank is proud to announce that Todd Bettinson, Mortgage Loan Originator, has been recognized as the Rookie of the Year by the Burlington Rotary Club, of which he is a member. The annual award goes to a first-year member who went above and beyond in service to the community. According to Club members, the winner is a person who consistently offers his/her services, with enthusiasm, whenever and wherever they’re needed.

“Everyone in the Burlington Rotary club is so helpful in the community already,” Todd said. “I just want to make sure I do my part to contribute. The club puts on so many meaningful events and fundraisers.”

This past year, the Burlington Rotary Club held its annual Fight Night and Rotary Golf Tournament fundraisers. In addition, they helped to arrange a Special Olympics Soft Ball Tournament. The organization also oversees the Burlington High School Rotary Club, which holds a multitude of its own fundraisers and events for the public.

Rotary President John Tuccinardi glowingly describes Todd as a “role model to the youth of the Rotary and to young professionals. He is a self-starter, motivated, and has a kind way about him – always offering to help others.” Tuccinardi added, “Todd is a breath of fresh air, with new ideas and energy.”

Club Treasurer Janet Sullivan also endorses Todd’s contributions, saying, “This past year, Todd became one of the Advisors for the Rotary Club of Burlington High School Interact Club, a Community Service group. He took on a leadership role with the students and was a key player in the Club’s success this past year, including their largest fundraiser, ‘Friday Night at the Fights.’ Todd brought many new ideas to the Club and is well-respected by both the students and the other advisors. We are very proud to have Todd as a member of our organization.”

Jack Ferren, RCB Vice President and Business Development Officer, commends Todd by saying, “From my perspective, Todd is a gentleman and a professional. He is well-liked and respected among the business and residential community in Burlington. He represents the Reading Coop brand well. I am personally proud to see how he has grown in such a short period of time and the quality reputation he has earned.”
