Reading Cooperative Bank Makes Charitable Donation to Understanding Disabilities Inc.

Reading, MA – Reading Cooperative Bank is proud to announce its recent donation to Understanding Disabilities Inc. The donation will be used to support community awareness and increase the resources available in classrooms for students who have learning disabilities. It is donations like this that bring the community together to better understand individuals who have disabilities.

“Understanding Disabilities Inc. plays a very important role in our community and we are happy to support them in bringing awareness to the importance of understanding disabilities. It is important that members of the community are aware of children with disabilities far beyond the classroom and throughout the community as well.” Sandy Convery, Assistant Vice President.

Understanding Disabilities Inc. is currently the only disability awareness education program in Reading public schools. UD states, “The UD programs are vital, especially now that inclusive classrooms have been adopted throughout the district.” Understanding Disabilities Inc. is working hard to make sure that all students are given the same opportunities in the classroom, making sure that students with and without disabilities can benefit from what they do.
