READING - Reading Co-operative Bank Announces Pending Corporate Office Move
Rapid growth calls for new, airy workspace to centralize management and customer support teams

.

Reading, Mass. (March 20, 2014) - Reading Co-operative Bank today announced it will move its corporate office to a new location in Reading in July. Located at 55 Walkers Brook Drive, the new space will provide a home-base for the corporate leadership team to maintain its focus on customer solutions, advancing the bank’s long-term vision, and continuing its recent pattern of strong growth.

“We have experienced exciting growth over the past five years, and our new space gives the leadership team ample room to maintain that pace,” said Julieann Thurlow, Reading Co-operative Bank’s President, “Our commitment to the community and to outstanding business practices has led us to add new services and hire an expanded group of leaders. Together, we will ensure that Reading Co-operative Bank stays tuned-in to customer service and smart banking solutions.”

The new space was designed by DRL Architects to create an environment that fosters transparency, collaboration and communication for the 40 plus employees who will work there.

“Our main branch will remain where it is at 180 Haven Street; our Board members also felt it was paramount that our corporate location stays in Reading. We were thrilled with the opportunity to expand to newly available office space at 55 Walkers Brook in Reading”, said Thurlow.

The move comes on the heels of a significant growth cycle for Reading Co-operative Bank. Over the past six years, the community bank averaged 20 percent annual growth in assets. It has also since added 3 new executive positions, made 7 new officer appointments and hired over 30 additional employees. In addition, the bank launched its mobile banking service, added small business checking services, and opened two new branches in Andover and Burlington.
