.Reading Co-operative Bank Donates to Mission of Deeds to Support Buy-A-Bed Campaign
Recently, Reading Co-operative Bank donated $1,000 to the Mission of Deeds to support their Buy-a-Bed campaign for 2013. The Mission of Deeds in Reading, MA is a volunteer organization that is dedicated to helping homeless and needy families at a time when they need it most. The organization was founded in 1993 by Anthony Triglione to offer necessities like beds, tables, and chairs to these less fortunate families.
Their successful annual Buy-a-Bed Campaign raises funds to buy new mattresses for families that cannot afford a bed. Each mattress costs $90.50, and this past year the organization raised enough money to purchase over 380 beds. The Reading Co-operative Charitable Foundation is pleased to help the Mission of Deeds meet and exceed this outstanding number in 2013.
"Mission of Deeds is an extraordinary charity that multiplies the value of every donor dollar through the efforts of an amazing team of volunteers. The expanded warehouse in Reading was thoughtfully developed with recipient families in mind to meet the needs of more families in our communities each year," says Julie Thurlow, President and CEO of Reading Co-operative Bank.
The Mission of Deeds is always in need of volunteers and donated items. Please visit www.missionofdeeds.org for more information.
