.Reading Co-operative Bank Contributes to CTC Foundation and Louis Stanislaw’s “On the Edge: Living with Epilepsy”
.Reading, MA –In March, Reading Co-operative Bank contributed $1,000 to the CTC Foundation in support of Louis Stanislaw’s documentary, “On the Edge: Living with Epilepsy.” The film, three years in the making, aims to explain the fear and shame that those with epilepsy are living with every single day. Donations will be used to assist in the process of marketing and broadening distribution of the documentary to achieve maximum awareness and reach. Stanislaw is also working on a follow-up documentary, titled “Throwing Open the Doors”, about the education, relationship, and employment challenges people with epilepsy face on a daily basis.
“Although the Reading Co-operative Charitable Foundation usually supports causes that promote education and financial literacy, we were so moved by Louis Stanislaw’s message that we had to make an exception. On the Edge is an eye-opening documentary,” says Maureen Bernard, Vice President/ Residential Loan Officer at RCB.
A free screening of On the Edge, sponsored by Tom Burger and Andree Robert, is taking place on Tuesday, April 9th at 7:30pm in the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, MA. There will also be a reception and panel discussion with Louis Stanislaw. To reserve tickets, please visit rockportmusic.org or call 978-546-7391 ext. 102. To make a tax-deductible donation to further epilepsy awareness and for more information about the film, please visit epilepsyontheedge.com.
