Reading Co-operative Bank Employees Donate to Jimmy Fund

READING, MA- In the month of April, employees of Reading Co-operative Bank donated to The Jimmy Fund through the annual Rally Against Cancer for their monthly Dress Down for Charity Day. On Monday, April 8th, in honor of Red Sox opening day, employees were able to wear Red Sox apparel in exchange for a $5 donation to The Jimmy Fund. Collectively, they raised $285 for the cause and all contributions were matched by the Reading Co-operative Charitable Foundation for a total donation of $570.
The Jimmy Fund is a local organization that supports the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston by raising funds for adult and pediatric cancer care and research to improve the chances of survival in cancer patients around the world. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Jimmy Fund’s relationship with the Boston Red Sox.
