Reading Cooperative Bank Donates to Mission of Deeds Buy a Bed Campaign

Reading, MA – Reading Cooperative Bank is proud to announce its recent donation to the Mission of Deeds’ “A Bed for Every Body” annual campaign. Donation boxes were set out throughout RCB branches to help raise funds to support the campaign. The donations raised were matched by the Reading Cooperative Charitable Foundation for a total contribution of $1,222. The donation will help to buy beds for men, women and children of all ages who do not have the opportunity to sleep in a warm bed every night.

“The Mission of Deeds is a great community organization and the Buy a Bed Campaign is an important program that really reaches out to those in need. No one should have to go without the essentials, especially a bed, and this program helps to ensure that men, women and children of every age have that basic need met,” said Senior Commercial Lending Assistant and Board Member for the Mission of Deeds, Judy MacLellan.

The Mission of Deeds began with the simple dream of one man: to provide basic home essentials to those in need. Since that day in 1993 when Tony Triglione founded the Mission of Deeds, the organization has served thousands of families and individuals throughout Middlesex and Essex counties. Its many clients include those who have been homeless, are living with disabilities, and the elderly. With Triglione’s vision as a guide, the Mission will continue to serve the community for years to come.
