READING, MA - Reading Co-operative Bank welcomes Maxine Hart as the new Chief Human Resources Officer. In this newly created role at RCB, Hart will be in charge of the creation and maintenance of committed and motivated teams, monitoring and improving employee morale, identifying high performers and ensuring they are provided with personal development opportunities.
“I see HR, together with the managers, playing a key role in supporting the building of robust structures, team work and improving bank wide communication,” says Maxine regarding the importance of a well-managed Human Resources department.

Prior to accepting this position with Reading Co-operative Bank, Maxine worked as a HR Director at the Manet Community Health Center – a network of five community health centers serving the medically underserved on the South Shore.
Maxine lives in Newton, MA along with her husband, James Smith, whom is former foreign editor and national political editor at The Boston Globe; her son Daniel, and step-son Matthew. She enjoys yoga, gardening and cooking.
